Challenge
There was limited space to site the new cabin, with a percentage of the build being positioned over a finished tarmacadam driveway. The client wanted minimum disruption and a speedy installation without having to excavate the area. Ground levels also varied considerably over the footprint of the building.
Solution
To optimise the existing garden space and position the cabin precisely where the customer wished, holes were cored through the tarmacadam driveway to allow for the installation of ground screw foundations as required.
The remaining screws were installed around the perimeter of the driveway into the soil, all perfectly level.
The project was finished with a bespoke joist subframe for the 6m x 4m for the customer to begin building their 44mm log cabin immediately.
The team were extremely professional and completed the installation without any fuss. I went out for the day, and by the time I got back, the foundations were installed, and the joists were all in place. I couldn’t believe it.
