Challenge

TJS Solar required a robust and efficient foundation solution for a commercial solar installation in Delph, Oldham. As a supplier and installer of solar panel systems, the client needed a foundation approach that would allow the mounting frames to be secured quickly while maintaining the reliability and structural performance required for renewable energy infrastructure.

The project also required a solution that could adapt to the specific ground conditions on site while allowing the solar installation programme to move forward without delays.

Solution

The No More Digging North West England team supplied and installed 14 RADIX PRO RF140 M16 ground screws to create a stable foundation system for the solar frames and panels. A combination of 76×1250mm and 76×2050mm screws was used to ensure the installation achieved the required stability and load-bearing capacity for the solar array.

Ground screws were installed directly into the ground using specialist equipment, removing the need for excavation or concrete and allowing the installation to be completed quickly and cleanly. This provided TJS Solar with a reliable foundation system ready for the immediate installation of the solar frames and panels.

With the ground screw foundations in place, the client was able to proceed with the solar installation efficiently, demonstrating once again how RADIX ground screws provide a fast, dependable foundation solution for renewable energy projects.
