Ground screw site surveys and testing
Get your project off to the right start with empirical data
Our teams across the UK are trained and equipped to conduct site surveys and load testing, ensuring you have all the accurate information to support your project with the correct specification of ground screws.
We can conduct surveys and load tests across multiple locations to support larger buildings and multi-unit projects, with tensile testing up to 120kN and compression testing up to 150kN per ground screw.
All testing of our ground screw foundations is executed according to BS EN 1997-1:2004 (EC 7.7) and to meet your project’s specifications.
- Tensile testing to 120kN per ground screw
- Compression testing to 150kN per ground screw
- Independant engineer’s documentation and structural reports
What applications require testing?
Our teams can conduct site-specific surveys and ground tests for any project. We typically require these tests for larger buildings or where planning requires the detailed specification of ground screw foundations.
What is involved in ground screw testing?
Our team will organise a date to visit your site and perform a ground screw test.
This will involve installing at least one ground screw within the installation site for your project, also allowing you to see how the installation process works. We ask that your site is made completely clear at this time.
The team will then set up one of our testing kits to measure the resistance of the ground screw, conducting either a compression or tensile test, depending on the requirements of your project.
Once complete, we remove the ground screw without digging or causing any damage!
